    Awww, nice! xD

Hopefully I don't have to part with it and drop it in W1zzard's bad gpu incinerator. :(

yeah, i have to agree with you. I should have turned the camera more, so the capsule would be more visible in depth.
So pitty we can only upload 3 pics... I made some more logos, but couldnt decide which is the best.

@michel ... You can only submit (post) 3 entries. Remove the image you don't like from your post and resubmit a new one in the same post. ;)

As long as it's before the deadline, it's all good.

Personally, since I really suck at art related things, I think 3 entries is a tad unfair :( Some very advanced/skilled users would be able to whip up 3 really great ones with in a week, or possibly less, where as us with less skills might require the whole contest time frame in order to get their entry the best to their ability :(

Given that the contest is actually for a snazzy piece of hardware, and not prestige or something of lesser value, I think: 1 entry per user, and if the method of choosing a winner is based on peer votes, you can not create a thread in order to poll people to see what they find is their best entry.

Or perhaps if you want to keep 3 entries per person, perhaps for those who submit more than 1, devise a way to randomly select one of the pictures (a simple program comes to mind, but I can't code either lol). That way it still allows someone to submit what they feel their 3 best works are, but then it makes it so us lesser beings still have a chance :p

    Just my 2c :ohwell:

This is not unfair at all. If your skill level takes you the entire duration of the contest to create one entry, and it is deemed the best, you will win. The three entries let people experiment with ideas and have fun with 3D features.

Peer votes don't work well. People have everyone they know signup to vote for them. Believe me, you would rather have a few objective people voting than the entire community.

Again, it does not matter if they have more than one. The best one (in the eyes of the judges) will win. Having less than 3 entries does not reduce your chance to win at all.

This is, after all, a contest to see who can come up with the best. If anyone could win even though they suck, it would not be a contest, it would be a US political election. :p

I am virtually a novice at 3D creation and I came up with the start of a working drawing in about 1 hour. Get to work !! :toast:

By statistical standards, I believe it does  I believe that is why the GPU-Z contest only allows one entry per person (it says/said per-system, but I asked since quite a few of us have more than 1 system :D)

Well, I'm a virgin in the 3D field. So anything I make, might be nice, but nice won't win any prices  I'll still see what I can come up with though, but 9 times out of 10 my execution of an idea never quite comes out how I pictured :( hahaha

The best idea till now is the one from michel catinas. The gun idea is really clever and attractive. Perhaps if he pays more attention to graphics that would be a winning gun

  16. Zinosys Guest

Damn, nice stuff michael. My vote is for the gun xD

But seriously, number 2 was nicely done. :)

Because I can't edit my posts (or view attachments), Please disregard all entries before this post

So here's my official first entry:

So I tried Blender.... I can't even said I popped my 3D design cherry lol All I did was click shit and accomplish absolutely NOTHING :( I couldn't figure out a damn thing heh I'll stick with Photoshop I think! I might suck at it (in comparison to most), but at least I can operate it! haha

Added the exclamation Don...! hehehe I was expecting a comment more like... "the damn silencer looks like a canon!"

Consider the 2 gun pictures as 1... just diferend camera angles. Had to show of the lazer beam!

  20. Zinosys Guest

Damn, that's really good stuff. :)

How did you implement the laser? Transparent solid next to a red omni light? :\

    Thanx zinosys!

Kind of yes, that is a cylinder, with a glowing red noise color applyed to it. A red omni light next it for the effect... salt and pepper for the taste.

Since I can't find my PS CS4 right now, I had to make due with CS3. Not that I think CS4 would've helped, or that I could have figured out 3D anyways lol So here's my sad excuse for an entry  Which took over a day to make :ohwell: But I couldn't get a few things just right!

    :respect: BOW BEFORE MY LAMENESS!

    EDIT: I added a 3D version :D THAT'S RIGHT, TOP THAT BISHES!
