But why has the Thanks button been disappeared though? I wanna click it for the OP. Surely you'd wanna keep it for a thread like this.:confused:

This isn't my entry btw, lol I'll have to think of something a bit later.

I'm not so good at poetry guys, and I don't think any of my teachers would approve, but here is mine:

    Code:
    In her hour of pride,
I posted Black Panther's rear end,
And for this post so snide,
    sneekypeet gave me ten.

So I ran to the Teamspeak,
Where Erocker and Gary did say,
    Minecraft and you too,
    Are both a bit gay.

Oh Kreij, what have you started, fool.
For you are just a henchmen of the W1zzard, a tool.
We shall make fun of mods then, you say?
And we cannot be our childish self, much to our dismay?
We had so much to say about the mod hitting thirty grand,
Mussels I believe, his addiction got out of hand.
Alas, the mods did not know what they have caused,
For even DanTheBanjomans witty remarks will be silenced and paused.

Doesn't bother me. I'm not in it to win it anyway, just wanted to make a laugh. I read the rules and if you read what I wrote I made it too long on purpose.

    But not banned.
So on a technicality, this could be an opportunity for people to slander and claim it was for the contest.

Nice, this is going to be like the class President race back in '83

Yeah good luck with that. TPU is not a democracy. Its a frat house run by a dictator. If you are gonna bring that vibe you better be ready to pay the piper.

Just because it doesn't say it doesn't mean it can't happen. Besides, if the post is just going to get deleted right away there's no point.

For the record, you pretty much just described every highly active forum on the internet. Or at least you'd need to replace frat with sorority for a select few but all else is generally the same. Note I'm just pointing out fact and not making commentary other than to say it doesn't need to be/shouldn't be a democracy. It's a privately owned and operated entity and we're just guests here.

Yeah I know. But generally speaking TPU is a more maturely maintained site. So much in fact people start to think they have a vote in the going on's. When in fact they are one second away from a perma-ban if the show a lack of respect to other members..........I said member. lol

Are three 3-line haiku's acceptable in place of the 8-line recommendation?

The words "must be exactly" are a clue that it's not a recommendation. ;)

I see there's only 24 replies to this thread. Normally I would have expected a lot more, with more contest entries.

I can tell you that writing a poem, whether it's gay or not, ain't easy and I'm all out. I've looked at the entries here and I'm thinking "How the f* am I gonna do that?"

They make pretty good reading though, keep them coming. :toast:
