While this could work from a computer standpoint, how the hell are you supposed to feed the fish when there is oil blocking the water underneath?

Toms hardware guide did an oil cooled PC thing last year. Worked quite well, only problem was sealing up the case so no oil escaped.

Toms one was crap...

"we tried distilled water, it didnt work. We then tried oil and it didnt work. We sealed the CPU area up to make it airtight and then did the oil again"

"In conclusion, distilled water sucks because we're too lazy to try it again after sealing up the CPU socket area like we did with the oil"

*ahem*

Anyway, as said - thats gotta hurt the fishes.

Yeah I was going to say just hope you dont get a earthquake.. but the main thing would be getting air to the fish lol, a pump would cause bubbles to trap on your mobo prob and than building up heat in the bubble.

Just do a nice half fish tank half computer with the computer on the back side.. I'm sure you've seen this b4.. its pimpin at its finest!

Airpump bubbles don't oxygenate the water anyway, they're too big.All they do is move the water around and agitate the surface which is where the oxygen gets absorbed.Being as the water surface is covered in oil in this it just ain't gonna work.Result = dead stinky fish.

This is a better idea...sort of

You don't have to just stick the tube from the airpump straight in. There are loads of diffusers etc that create curtains of small bubbles for sale. You could also use one of those bubble ladders to maximise the time the bubble stays in the water.

However, it's still not a good idea. Fish tanks need a lot of regular maintenance for lots of reasons, how to access the fish section for that maintenance is the biggest problem.
