Well I was going to build a brand new rig though that's not going to happen now, I have however decided to treat myself to a new PSU, case and mechanical keyboard.

Just looking to get some input to the PSU
is good enough for dual 7950's and overclocked i5 2500k.

My initial thought is yes, definately as it's a Corsair unit and has a single 62a +12v rail ( 744w ) as well as 4x 6+2 pcie cables, my only reservation is that I know their newer budget/builder range wasn't rated as high as the previosu versions, though 750w Corsair PSU should be fairly adequate shouldn't it?

I pull a bit above 700 watts full load with 2 x 7970's and a 3770K highly overclocked. You should be good.

XS PSU calculator is saying 519w even with CPU OC, I think 750w should be highly sufficient, just want to make sure the Corsair CX (builder) series are up to the task, mind you I ran an 4GHZ overclocked E7300 and dual HD 4850's on a HX 520w for a good while :toast:

PSU calculators are bullshit anyhow. It really boils down to how many amps the rail(s) put out. Some PSU's boast amps they don't turn out. Your specs are not comparing apples to apples with your power consumption. My specs pull more than his(more) so he will be good to go.

it has a single +12v rail of 62a (744w) compared to an Antec VP550w I bought as an interim for 1 7950 which only had 37a (444w) on the +12v rail, I fricken hate PSU's that are over-rated only to find the +12v lacking and them making it up in 3.3v and 5v ..... BASTARDS :shadedshu
