Corsair DDR5 6000Mhz CMH32GX5M2E6000C36 ram temp issue

Using HWinfo / ASUS Z790-A bios 1603/ DDR5
in XMP I profile mode both ram sticks shows temperature, but when i switch to XMP 2 profile one ram stics doesnt show temp in HWinfo

is this a Motherboard or Ram issue

have written to ASUS support no response

The ram. The sensor is on the ram itself. You could swap DIMM slots and see if the sensor reading switches. That would indicate the MB instead

yes, correct, after switching, in XMP 2 profile both the DIMM are showing the temp, boot time improved, i felt the system was running a bit lazy, but now very smooth

so it is the RAM, it means should i return it, just bought it 2 weeks back

If it doesn't cost you anything to return sure. Seems like just a detective sensor.

i will try, usually here it is very difficult to return, but now after switching both of them are working

i will try to give back

I actually get something similar. The idiot who i purchased the pc with a i5 from bought same sticks but for amd. Last 3 digits for part number are z30 i think. Expo profile shows all temps min max current in hwinfo. Xmp profile only shows 1 which is current.
