The lights only work with certain ram. Unless you have the pin connector at the end of the PCB you can not use that light.

If you get used to using it, I think you'll use it all the time and be happy with owning "the complete set". If you don't get used to using it, the yea it'll definitely be wasted.
If I had one, I'd be very happy with it but I'd look for a 2nd hand one first.

It's a waste of cash..barely useful, but still, I do own one, and will not sell it. Many other things out there you could spend $50 on that might make perforamcne better, this jsut has some pretty lights. I like pretty lights...
