It looks like your voltage is 1.42V? Thats quite high for a I7 950.

Im running 1.27V for 4Ghz and my stock voltage is like 1.22v.
What clocks are you running right now? stock? if stock try 1.25v if you at 4ghz or more then try 1.27-1.3v

Test completed! max temp touched 69 deg cel, I suggest to try a much lower voltage and run IBT on my threads and memory for stability and then run 30-60min prime95 on max settings.
Try 1.3V first if that is stable then start going down by .01v

thats amazing!!congrats..I hope that with some voltage tunning I can get close to that too

I was looking and what makes my Gflops so low is my ram speed is 1159mhz and you have got to be running 1333mhz-1600mhz ram correct?
so if I understand you correctly, not only over voltage, mut also under voltage can cause severe instability?

Yes! like mine will do 4.2ghz @ 1.31V stable but at first i tried 1.38v and it would crash IBT and BSOD until i figure out to lower voltage to 1.31v and it ran IBT and prime95 all day long with no issues. I just love 4ghz tho cause of the lower stable voltage (1.27v). i will keep it here until i upgrade to a 32nm chip later on in the future

Yes, you stock voltage should be around 1.2-1.27v i think. (just googled it and the stock voltage is right around 1.212V)

Whats more than likely the problem is that you have your voltage in bios on AUTO so the board just put out a high voltage to make sure your clock is stable, the BEST thing to do when OCing is to manually set ALL voltages to insure nothing get overvolted
