    ok , i have a club 3d radeon 9600 256
my clock`s ( the ones shown in ati tool ) are :

    core : 398 mhz
    ram : 198 mhz

problem : i have seen that at other video cards ( sapphire / gigacube / etc ) the ram is showed ( in the specs ) at 400 + mhz.

so , the question is : is my ram freq way low ? or 198 mhz ddr means ~400 mhz ..and that`s why at other video cards the freq are rated at 400 + ?

    10q

Your card comes with DDR RAM, which stands for Double Data Rate, that means the memory is able to transfer data on raising and falling edges of each clock pulse, so it's rated speed is always twice the real time speed, ergo 198Mhz*2 = 396Mhz ~ 400 mhz
