Couple Problems with Battlefield 2(142)

Ok well Im running Vista 64 bit. Couple specs:
intel core2duo e6600
geforce 8800gts
2gb ddr2

In the battlefield 2 demo when I try and join a server with punkbuster it kicks me out right away with a message saying something like "Inadaquite O/S" I can play fine in non punk buster servers.. my punkbuster is enabled though.

In the battlefield 2142 demo when I try and launch it, it gives me this:

Try installing the most recent version of DX 9c.
Try re-installing punkbuster. I'd say it's an issue with x64, you may be SOL with punkbuster on x64. Have you tried running it as administrator?

I am administrator, so I should download dx9 even though i have a dx10 card

You may be administrator, but in Vista you still have to run some programs as administrator. You should do some reading up on how Vista UAC works, and possibly disable it and see if that helps you.
DX10 cards are compatable with DX9 dude. That appears to be some sort of missing DLL from DX9, so yes get the most recent release of DX9.

I suggest you do some more searching and learning about what you have and what you are doing, so that way you're more confident in what solution you should perform. We can only tell you so much considering the info you provided.
