Yeah but see the problem is with waiting, your going to see something else newer that comes out and will want it instead ..

Yea to true there, its all up to my brother now and he will then decide when to buy it, if he ever does, you gotta get him on a good day, i just want to install it and do some benchmarking lol

Hear you on that!!! I am the same way. But, yeah 7750BE is going to be your best bet at this point in time.

Excess me guys i own a ma-770-ds3 rev1.0, it supports the new phenom II's, one catch the board only supports 125watt cpu's, so depending on hes board reversion, if its 1.0 the vrms get real hot next the cpu so drop some heat sinks on them like i did then your good to go for 140watt cpus, if he has the rev 2.0 board it supports 140watt cpu's, btw i wouldn't buy the the 7750be, or a 6400, from hes 4800 x2 theres not much of a gain, tell him to save hes money and pickup a amd phenom II 920, or wait it out until cpu's prices get cheaper seems how am3 is comming around the corner, that's just my two sense

He's wasting his time, I'm sorry to say there is no real performance gain to be had by goign to another dual core. The Phenom II 720's should be out soon, if he wants something cheaper, lower wattage (95W TDP), and quick out of the box that would be the choice he should make.

His motherboard would support that processor, tell him it's a waste to get something AMD dual Core. Even the 7750 BE, that would be decent upgrade, but that tri-core is going to blow it's socks off with the new architecture.
