I don't think most $35 headphones will have the features. I don't have a ton of experience with headphones but having a mic could be useful for Left 4 Dead 2 sessions.

they are proberly the best cheep headset u can get, the mic is decent and the sound is not bad either. both clear and sound good. thats the mkI i have and im sure the mkII is better. killer deal.

Just got my headset today ;~P So far I'm really satisfied with this headset and my Creative X-Fi Xtreme Music (using default creative drivers on Win7 Pro 64 - 192 kHz 24-bit)

I don't know if its me or what but I had to adjust the bass through an equalizer. The bass on this headset is too strong, simply too much. I use foobar2000 for audio playback & thankfully tuning equalizer presets for music is a breeze ;~}

I should warn you with this headset for music - be prepared to fine tune this headset according to your music tastes.

The feel of the headset is amazing - very ergonomic and it hasn't bothered me after wearing it for a few hours. I've yet to game with it on. Going to have to try out some Bad Company 2 & some CS:S here later.

Newegg really is great. Since they didn't have them and didn't tell us fast enough they simply auto reordered them for me at the shellshocker price. I didn't get my sets yet but I can't wait to do some 2:00 AM late night ear blistering gaming sessions. Thanks for your comments, Ross.
