Hey guys. For those of you who might have missed it AMD has also released a version of the 16.2.1 Crimson drivers for folks with older HD5000 and HD6000 GPUs. This is kind of a surprising move considering AMD officially ceased driver support for these cards at first Crimson release.
Anyway. If you loathe the old CCC and/or use the original crimson driver with broken fan speed settings this might be worth looking at.

I bet GPU on E-450 APU still isn't supported despite being HD6000 series... Pathetic.

You'll have to try it and see. You might get lucky.

I very much doubt it.

These drivers have been posted twice before already here.

They didn't stop support. They've been "beta" for HD 5000/HD 6000. Unsurprisingly, these are still beta so nothing has changed in that regard.

Well there was a post on TPU that AMD stated they discontinue support for HD 5000/6000 (or pre GCN), I'm very sure. But whatever, seems they are continueing it some time, that's good news! Testament to AMDs driver team and support.

The first release of Crimson did not support HD 5000 nor HD 6000. The second release had Crimson available as a legacy beta driver (like it still is today).

LOL, just makes it all the more apparent that AMD ought to put their logo on rear view mirror dice anymore.

Probably because there hasn't been any non-beta Crimson drivers yet. It remains to be seen if they ever release a non-beta Crimson driver for legacy cards.
