Crossfire issues with Vista X64

Right now I'm running Vista Ultimate X64, but I'm having issues with crossfire. I get massive artifacts and display corruption when I run anything 3d in full screen. It doesn't show in screenshots or when running in windowed mode for some reason though. It's not 3d artifacts either, just the image tearing badly and jumping all around the screen. I've tried both 8.1 and 7.12 drivers and it's the same.

Anybody else had this? Any suggestions?

Might want to check your CCC settings. Catalyst A.I. should be at Standard (maybe even Disabled).

Try Disabled first and report back.

windowed mode probably dont enable crossfire = second card, thats why you dont see corruption, did you use only one crossfire interconnect bridge?
Catalyst AI set to off is same as running it in windowed mode, it disables crossfire.
Try to test both cards but only one plugged in computer at a time. Maybe second one is bad and from what you write it is, cause i dont have any problems under 64bit Vista.

I agree that running windowed mode does indee disable CF, but I found that in Vista you could disable Cat A.I. and still have CF capabilities, albeit diminished since you don't have the driver "optimizations".

Really? Screw this then, I'm going back to XP, Vista has wayyyyy too many issues to be used everyday.

I know for sure both card are fine, I've tested both, and the artifacts don't appear in screenshots, meaning it's an output issue, not a processing issue.

Catalysts 8.2 will get out today, so wait and try them and if still dont help, you can try XP.

My Vista installation went down the drain anyway. Everything's crashing, drivers are magically uninstalling themselves, and almost nothing works like it should.

Wow now this is all kinds of bullshit. I went back to XP 32bit and guess what? I still get the corruption, even after switching the card around physically, hell it's even worse now. I'm using 8.2 drivers.

What else could it be? I'm gonna try using a VGA cable instead of DVI, maybe that'll do something.

I guess something is bad on your graphic card, probably for RMA

But which one would it be? Both are perfect by themselves. Plus, I only have the chance of RMAing the HIS one, I don't have the receipt for the sapphire one.

I just recently RMA'ed my RAM from Newegg and I didn't need my recitte for it, they just wanted my Phone number and address.

Just noticed something strange again, if I ALT-TAB out or open the task manager, the screen will return to normal for a split second. Also, the corruption in Vista was less than in XP, I could actually go through menus and play a bit in Vista, in XP it's impossible. This is making me think software problem. Gonna try some older drivers.

Using 1 bridge just disabled crossfire. I'm back to 1 card for now, this is too confusing.
