I've just bought a 4850 but don't quite want to do away with my 3850 just yet. I've had a look and apparently ATI don't officially support it but it is possible, see here and here. I'm just wondering if anyone knows how? I've fitted the two cards into the computer but CCC reports that the 3850 is disabled and there's no option to crossfire. :banghead:

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks

im pretty sure it will run as fast as 3850 CF, aka one 4850....

however i could be wrong, i jsut remember seeing 4850+4870 benches and it was spot on 4850 CF performance.

In one of the links it states:

So I might be nearer Stock 4870 performance if what's said above is true and I can get it to work! I guess it might not be worth the effort. But it's free performance that I'll gladly take if I can!
