Per ati, m x1950 needs a x1950 to run in crossfiire mode.
I have the little dongle.. do both cards need a power connected in the back of card or can one draw from the board? OR do both cards need a rear end connector?

I have 600 watts with t480 w dedicated to the 12volt rail... I am not sure this will be enough..
    thoughts?

600 watts should be plenty for your rig. i'm on 620, and i have a quad.
both cards need to be powered by the psu, so yes, plug them both in. also, you need two crossfire bridges.

    A) yes, TWO bridges.
    B) match the mem size, speeds don't matter.

great, almost got one with 512 and mine has 256, am I wasting time and money, or does the sli RULE two card configs? I have a p35 crossfire board and a card, and with cards falling in price I thought I could easily upgrade... or I could trade board, brand new, for 680i chipset sli board and go the dual 8800gt's... that would be sweet!

Seriously though, how does sli and xfire compair with like cards?
