Thanks for the great review!! im definitely considering buying these...i just wish i new how long they would be around...
Probably not long, seeing as how the Lanfest stuff went quickly.
I'll actually ask my contact at Crucial about that as I was unclear on that as well, the only thing that leads me to believe these are limited edition is Newegg's comment:
But I'm wondering if that simply means that they are a Newegg Exclusive for a limited time? lol that'd be good wordplay if so
Nice review and thanks for the picts.
(I dont know if its worth almost double of the EVO Ones (AR), But there are blinky lights involved)
But you're not an Artsy Fartsy guy...
Great review nflesher!
You dont need to be Artsy Fartsy to like blinky lights...(red is my favorite color too)
nice review , i new it they were nice ddr2 mems , had crucial before so had no doubts , got me 8gb total , alongside with my HD 3870 X2 i am all RUBY now !!!! also installed my new QX9650 TOO ....
Hey nice leds sexy case over there. And nice timings by the way 4 sticks running at 4-4-4-12 , also what speed are you running your QX9650?
stock for now gonna let it burn in for a wekk before i try anythign with it =) and thx
NP. Hope you get some insane clocks by next week.
Great RAM, 1100Mhz @ only 2V... mmm, nice.
funny thing is that's even good for 1 GB modules that are rated at 800 MHz and CL4, let alone 2 GB modules
Wonder how many of these Fits bought...
lol I think he's talking about 2 sets
TPU should raffle these off
can you turn the led's off? no way in hell would i run ram as gimmicky and bright as that...
No way to turn led's off except to turn off computer.
yep sorry mussels, the only way would be to physically desolder the LEDs from the PCB, which I expect wouldn't be too difficult
but let me also say that the pictures exaggerate gawdiness of the LEDs lol, in anything other than pitch black they're a very manageable brightness
i agree with u on that because the pics i posted reflect too much light form them but in reality the little red leds are like moving dots no even close to overexposed brightness like in the pic , plus i also used contrast on the pics before posting cause i took the pics in the dark =)
hey i just noticed that the kit on newegg looks completely different then the ones you have here...i like the ones u showed but it makes me wonder if i get them witch ones they will be?
A very nice write up there bud, well let's how long it takes for them to come out here
they've been out in the UK for a while now already
