Hello. Have anyone noticed "liquid texture" artifacts while playing Crysis? I'm just wondering if it's game bug or my graphics card.

Here's the video showing this artifact -

Yeah, I had that issue too with ALL of my cards, so don't you worry.

That looks like it's due to the parallax mapping being applied to a stretched texture. You'll see artifacts like that once in awhile in games that use it a lot (like the original F.E.A.R)

Weird, I never noticed anything like that in Crysis. I DID get some physics bugs though, like vehicles being affected too much driving over small objects like weapons, and enemies becoming injured and falling just by contacting their fellow NPCs whom had been killed. Some even launched way up in the air if they manned a turret where one of their troops had been killed. I even catapulted into the air myself once after manning a turret where I'd killed an NPC. So high that I went into freefall pose.

huh...never ran into those lol. Would've been interesting. Ya know i think they need to make a crysis like game only WW3 or something. Farcry 3 i assume is basically crysis beginning without aliens the rest of the game or the super suit. But some of the team/personal recon/sneakiness was a lot of fun. I can definitely say I enjoyed the beginning of crysis more than the rest of it.

I can't say that I've ever noticed a water effect like that in Crysis.

That's just stretching of textures. I've frankly never seen it in Crysis...

Go to that area and you will see it in more than one place. That's the same area i saw it in, before you see the scientist that's held there and korean dude play with the alien.

EDIT: I wonder if its a Nvidia thing? i've always had Nvidia (8800GT, GTX 560) when i've played crysis.

It's not just an Nvidia thing, I've seen it on all of the cards that I've owned, coming waaaay back in the olden DX9 days on my X1600 Pro.
