Yes the source is pretty much reliable, but why don't they stop the download site...it only makes people confused?
I was going to post a news story telling you that Crysis demo will be out in 3 days...

I love how they are separating DX9 and DX10 multiplayer modes it means that developers are finally starting to use DX10. The DX9 multiplayer beta is pretty awesome though so DX9 gamers aren't left out. I love that.

Crap, I couldn`t get a inCrysis key and now this..
But there is a good side of this, too. They will release the cryengine2 editor with the demo, I`m dying to get my hands on this and try some modding..

oh well, better for them to release the demo when its good enuff to release, than to release it when its still a poc.if they relese the demo in a crappy state it will put crysis in a bad light, which they obviously dont want.

the beta runs ok on my machine at 1280x1024 mostly maxxed out.

I don't think 1 month will turn the demo from crap to best-f.ing-demo-ever...

Including the sandbox2 thing doesn't compensate the delay. Even the Modders would be happy to play the Demo next week and getting the editor in November than waiting another month for the demo to be released with or without sandbox2, knowing it could easily be delayed again.

Hopefully they forgot about the site and it will leak the demo lol :D

(edit) The crysisdemo site knows about the delay, its posted in their news section but they're not going to update timer until an official announcement:

Today some Crysis fan site has announced that the release date for the Crysis demo will be delayed to October 26th
The countdown timer will be fixed right after an official statement by EA Games or Crytek

Guess the demo site is made by some Crysis fan and not from Crytek/EA themselves.

You can't win either way. If you GIVE someone a release date on something and then can't deliver, then you have people griping. If you don't give them ANY dates, they say that you are taking forever.

I say, get the game done, get it done RIGHT, and party down on the full version.

The more we're craving for the damn game, the more sales they'll have when they release it. Hopefully they won't feed it with the Suckurom protection like Bioshock, but something smarter than that piece of sh!t.

There were rumors that a Crytek employee has to come to your house and verify you got a legal copy. He will then perform a secret process to install the game on your PC. I give this rumor a validity of 95%.
