    Online Authentication?

That is a shame......I so wanted to buy this from a retail outlet but as I do not have any internet connection at my home for the time being I guess I will just have to use the same copy that my friend got.....that dont require no disc and no authentication.

It's very ironic that the very methods EA use to prevent game piracy, is the exact reason why people refuse to pay for it!

Well done EA for the self-pwnage

EA -> :nutkick: <- Self (and paying customers)

I agree but sometimes people have to wait 3 days or more for a crack for the game. So it does stall people for a couple days.... but they end up losing customers because of the hassle of limiting installs.

STEAM is right in the sin bin of all piracy prevention schemes.....

MUST HAVE INTERNET CONNECTION to even play single Player.

MUST INSTALL STEAM software which downloads adverts onto your computer and causes operating system to become unstable.

I bought a STEAM game from UK retail outlet, GAME. When I realised exactly what STEAM was and how it worked and most importantly, how much I hated it. I returned the game to the store for an exchange. However, the manager refused to exchange it as I had opened the seal.

So instead of exchanging it for another game, I ripped the dvd and case up and threw it in his face. Neither GAME nor STEAM will get any custom from me ever again.

    its nothing like that.

You CAN PLAY Single Player games offline.

It has not caused my system to become unstable .

And the store policy for return of games, every store has that to prevent theft of CD-Keys .

yeah steam has been on my systems for the last 3 years or so.... no problems...
on a single core it does slow down startup a bit, but you wont notice it on a dual / quad... and you can use offline mode aswell if you dont want to play online
