I just bought a 4 gb module of Kingston genesis grey series 1600 mhz ddr3 ram and I put in inside my pc and after I turn it on, after about 3 seconds and having only a black screen, the pc shuts down. Until now I used 2 gb of ddr2 memory and everything was ok. My cpu is Amd athlon 64x2 6000+ and my mobo is AsRock N68C-S UCC(in specs there is listed support of ddr2 and ddr3 1600mhz memory). I have no idea what could be the problem. Please help.

You are replacing the DDR2 module by the DDR3 one, right? Because I'm almost 100% sure you can only use one type of memory, so it's either DD2 or DDR3, don't mix the two.
