Wow, thanks for the info. I like the first Dead Space quite a bit and would hate to think they are gonna destroy the feeling of the first game.

The controls were horrible in the first one. Possibly the worst console port ever.

Yeah, i wonder where was their QA. Dead drunk somewhere in the basement or something...
I don't get it what's up with the trend of turning every original game into god damn carnage action game. I loved System Shock 2 because there wasn't all that much ation, but the atmosphere and core gameplay was just superb. Same with Deus Ex. And partally BioShock. But what they do these days (and few years back)? Original game is great, but the sequel is always turned into yet another shooter. WHY!?!??!?!?! We loved Dead Space because of what it was (apart from stupid controls, V-Sync problems and crappy FSAA), but still, i loved the game all together. It had great atmosphere, good gameplay, character and weapons upgrading througout the game, interesting levels and monsters etc etc. I don't want a freakin Modern Warfare crap, i want Dead Space. I'd even forgive DS2 if it had all the same problems as DS1 for as long as they don't turn it into a regular action shooter game. For that i have Serious Sam series and Will Rock...

agreed. double agent was a work of art compared to the dead Space port. controls, fov, performance - it was crippled. hopefully they do better this time. if not, console for me :(

you either played a different game to us, or your tolerance for shit controls is outstanding.

I stayed away from the first one because of Securom, which I try my best to avoid, hopefully the sequel will ship without Sony's rootkit and prove to be a good game. I'll wait and see.

Bad controls aside, I really enjoyed Dead Space and I'm dead excited about DS2.

I kept pressing each keys in the keyboard. Checking the control options wasn't exactly helping. I was stuck.

the controls were stiff and the fov was HORRIBLE.

that being said, it was and is a good game. I am enjoying it more on XBOX though than I did on pc - even with my xbox controller.

something they did during the port made the pc game harder to enjoy than the console version.

hopefully they don't do THAT again.
