O hi guys. Today I'm selling a Dell 1501 laptop. Lets get some facts ou of the way first. This laptop is in amazing condition minus a few scratches on the top. NO NEED TO WORRY THOUGH!! Hi rez pics dude. The laptop runs on a 1.8Ghz(1795mhz) AMD turion X2 Trinidad core. I have installd 3GB of ram 1x1GB 1x2GB sticks.

The LCD has zero dead pixles the chassis is in imaculate condition. The keyboard works fine. The touch pad has NO discoloration. The power brick works fine and I have reapplied thermalpaste. Their is one bad thing with this laptop however. One which I know will probably kill my potential sale. The battery is fubar.

It comes with a batt. But it lasts about 3min unplugged and reports 0%/charging all the time. Iv worked on laptops all the time at work and I dont think the batt will be that expensive if you get it off of ebay. Its a pretty standard battery alot of models made around this time used this key type. At anyrate. The Laptop has intigrated ATI graphics IT IS NOT a 200m its a Radeon Xpress 1150 with 256mb shared memory. Its not omg amazing but its good and nothing jerks.

It also comes with 4USB, VGA out, Ethernet, Modem, mic and audio jack (speakers work) card reader, and im going to throw in my card reader because its better than what this comes with (shown below)

The screen is beautiful (glossy finish) with no smudges or scratches. I'v rebuilt this before and its a really sound laptop. Im just looking to maybe get something else in the future Its far to big for my desk. The laptop will come with the original XP home disks the Vista disk. and various bloatware stuff. As well as a copy of my utility DVD. I will install vista but just base OS/Drivers/Updates. Ill leave the wicked sweet and unnecissary Dell crap to you :) Im looking for $250.

Free stuff:eek:? No way! That aside, this has got to be the most detailed description I have seen on TPU, I would suggest anyone selling things do the same.

    Free bump for ya.
I might have gone for it if I didn't spend nearly 400 bucks for 2 SSDs this month.

I know for sure it will take any 90nm CPU which goes up the Turion 64 X2 TL-64 2.2ghz (trinidad core (90nm)).

However the highest clocked socket S1 processor is a Turion 64 X2 TL-68 2.4Ghz (tyler core (65nm)) Its 65nm but should work as the mobo will take upto 800mhz HT.

All above mentioned CPU's fall in the 35w spec.

Also EVERYTHING has been upgraded Iv always flashed the bios I flashed the DVD rom bios. All the drivers etc. Of course depending on who buys it I will change the owner/name of the PC so it doesnt say "Solaris" Il tune it up reg clean, defrag, settings, startup, services etc. So all you need to do is get up and go.

Damn man, I can't believe that you have not sold this yet! Damn it, I wish I had the bucks Dave, I would be all over this man.

There is a gun show this weekend here local, and I am going to try to sell my Browning lever action 30-06 at it. I am pretty sure it will sell, so if that is the case, I will be in contact with you. This would make my wife a great laptop :)
