DFI LANParty UT RD600-T2R/G Images Unveiled

DailyTech has managed to take some photos of DFI's latest and maybe last ATI-Intel motherboard to see the light of day. DFI LANParty UT RD600-T2R/G comes with the long awaited RD600 chipset for Intel's Conroe Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Extreme processors. Early images show the LANParty UT RD600-T2R/G is equiped with three PCI-Express x16 and three PCI slots. Two PCI Express x16 slots will be full speed with sixteen lanes routed to each slot. The lane configuration on the third slot is unknown, though it most likely has around four lanes like other motherboards equipped with three PCI Express x16 slots. With its three PCI Express x16 slots it appears the DFI LANParty UT RD600-T2R/G is ready for ATI's triple-play physics for hardware accelerated physics processing. Other notable features include dual onboard Gigabit Ethernet, UV reactive slots and integrated high definition audio. As with previous LANParty UT motherboards, the LANParty UT RD600-T2R/G uses DFI's Karajan audio module which moves the audio codec off of the motherboard PCB. DFI LANParty UT RD600-T2R/G is expected to arrive within the next month or two and cost around $200.

When I have enough money for Core 2 Duo, or Quad-Core in the future, this will be the board I'm going to get, unless Abit makes a better overclocker, but it will most likely be this. Go DFI!

I think the third pci-e slot is for ATI´s physics system. I will get a RD600+R600GFX, but im not sure i will get this DFI board. For an example, the SATAII connectors are not placed on the best places, and some other things too that are misplaced. But im sure the RD600 chip will be great, so i might get one if ASUS has a board with it!?

dfi is the only manufacture using the ati chip and its the least ati chip for socket 775 and intel at all so far

and this will be my board definitly

This would be horrible. I'd hate to be forced to get a DFI board to get that chipset.

Don't get me wrong, I am not saying DFI boards are bad, I just got sick of the ever changing OC requirements the NF4 based boards seemed to have. One week your settings are great, the next you are back to square one redoing your OC. Looks like I will be skipping this chipset.........

It is an overclocking board. If you want stability out of the box, then go with Asus, but again DFI was made for overclocking.

hm i experienced the same on a dfi ultra-d (socket 939)
my result was that i clocked the cpu on stock vcore to its limits afterwards it ran pretty fine and that result on stock vcore was a 2,9gig on a opteron 146
