DiRT 2 is shipping now! well i got a email and they say DiRT 2 is shipping now! but really you order it now from Gamestop then they ship on 12/1/2009. was wandering what system is everyone geting this for? im undecided
    it is out for every system ;
    • Xbox360
    • PS3
    • PC
    • DS
    • PSP
    • Wii

EDIT BIG: DiRT 2 will feature a roster of contemporary off-road events, taking players to the most diverse and challenging real-world environments. This World Tour will have players competing in aggressive multi-car and intense solo races at extraordinary new locations, from canyon racing and jungle trails to city stadium-based events.

To be powered by the third generation of the EGO Engine’s award-winning racing game technology, DiRT 2 will benefit from tuned-up car-handling physics system and new damage engine effects. It will also showcase a spectacular new level of visual fidelity, with cars and tracks twice as detailed as those seen in GRID.

DiRT 2’s garage houses a best-in-class collection of officially licensed rally cars and off-road vehicles, specifically selected to deliver aggressive and fast paced racing. Covering seven vehicle classes, players will be given the keys to powerful vehicles right from the off. In DiRT 2 the opening drive is the Group N Subaru; essentially making the ultimate car from the original game the starting point in the sequel and the rides just get even more impressive.

In addition to the World Tour, DiRT 2 will come complete with full online functionality that will be core to the overall experience, with head-to-head competitive online play and new social features to engage the racing community. Prepare for mud, gravel, dust and dirt too in DiRT 2, coming 2009.

What type of xbox 360 controller do you need? i have 3 and none work on my pc i really want to use them i have play and charge kits on 2 white and black, but yes i cant wait for this game i am kind of using this poll to help me and maybe others decided what system to get it for. i hope 2x 4850 can get good frames because racing games need to have 0 ZERO lag. and of course have to be maxed to the top with graphics.:rockout::rockout:

PS3. Due to the bigger TV size. If I like it, I may as well buy it for PC once its cheaper. I just like racing/ralley games better on console.

I have played the demo for 360 and it was very fun. The graphics were alright but then again it was on a 360.

I never kept up with Rally but that guys story is pretty epic. I hope they do some kind of tribute to the guy in Dirt 2.

    Anyway.......

Always go with the PC for games. Anything less is uncivilized.

From the trailers I've seen its aimed at 12 year olds. And if the physics are as bad as the original Dirt then I'll still be playing Richard Burns Rally, 5 years after it was released...

if you want to max it with "0 ZERO lag" then you must buy HD 5870 X2 :rockout: (it's DX 11 games after all)

Sounds crazy but people do actually do it. I have Test Drive Unlimited for both my PC and my Xbox 360.
