DivX Web player not working

I've got the latest player of divx and whenever i go to watch a clip or video over the net the player wont work, the page and the player will load but nothing will happen and if i press play it'll change to connecting but will never connect, any ideas?

have you installed the active x control ? if so then just right click it and download the moivie instead of streaming it
