I'm always fixing spelling and grammar in thread titles because it gives me eye cancer.

so i'm wondering if it would make sense to enlist a couple of forum regulars who keep clicking "new posts" every 5 minutes to fix the thread titles ? it's just double click thread title, enter new text, click outside of the edit box that appeared. so very fast to do without page load or anything.

maybe there could be additional low-risk capabilities and this could be used as some kind of stepping stone to moderator status ?

Count me in as a volunteer boss. I spend a lot of time on TPU and the button I click most is the Quick Links - Today's Posts.

Have them fix obnoxiously uninformative titles like "help me" too.

I would also be willing to help out. I'm on here pretty much constantly from 4-11PM on weekdays and all day Sat. and Sun.

Can these people also change titles in the B/S/T forum?

Giving the ability to change titles in the BST Forums as well is a great idea. It will surely help take some of the load off of the Mods. When can I start?

I don't see why the current moderators can't do this for the sections they moderate? I actively make titles more appropriate when need be. I also see no problem with people changing their owm B/S/T thread titles.

sneekypeet and Soylent Joe say thanks.

helps to offload work from the moderators

idea from that: give all moderators the ability to edit all thread titles (not only their own forum)

KieX, BUCK NASTY, Paulieg and 3 others say thanks.
