I've been thinking about that. What if you would use them for like 10+ years, and they die on you? What would they do then?

Well they recieved and excepted it and waiting now.

lifetime means, until the part is "end of life", which means, it wont get produced anymore.
its a sneaky method, because naturally, that are only a few years;)

Yes heard that too with some companys and is clearly said in the warranty. But lifetime all so means they will replace it with some thing well in this case at least.

Just waiting to see what the "Some thing" is lol

as mentioned before, lifetime warranty on RAM is the production time - many companies offer you a cheaper item as a warranty outside that period (EG, returning DDR600 uber expensive ram will get you cheapo DDR2 800Mhz) - but you take it like the bitch you are, because some ram is better than no ram - and they dont have to give you anything since its EOL

If it is under warranty it is not problem. I hate buying new and damaged hardware. Like my current VGA 475.

Sad ? Nah. I am just pissed off. More so if I killed it by doing something stupid like not watching VRM temps (Killed a P45 mobo like that).

I am only sad in relation to computers is when I see how my older rigs fall into being near-useless weaklings. Currently formatting my old P4 HT (That does 4.2Ghz) for my mom's office, since it isn't good for anything else nowdays.

Speak of the devil just got a lovely email of Transcend. And it's actually what i needed here's e-mail anyways.

This email is to inform you that there is a processing delay with you RMA.

Unfortunately, we have discontinued the TX1200QLJ-2GK (the 2G 1200QLJ DDR2 kit) and it will not be available anymore. We would like to upgrade it to the TX1066QLU-4GK at no extra charge. The 4G 1066QLU has a larger memory size of 4G and a slightly different chip layout.

Please let us know if you want us to send back the original RMA or if you would like us to upgrade with the new DDR2 kit.

Please accept our apology for any inconvenience that this replacement may cause you.

Please click “reply” to this email and tell us what you would like to do with this RMA.

(Please choose from one of the three choices below):

1) Please substitute my item TX1200QLJ-2GK with the new DDR2 kit, TX1066QLU-4GK at no extra charge.

2) Please send back my original RMA.

Again, please accept our sincerest apologies for your RMA delay.

Please feel free to contact us by email or telephone should you have any questions or require additional information.

Best regards,
Helen Shu

So just waiting for Corsair to get there act together now and hope it's not like the rebate BS i had to go though.
