does anyone know what dynamic voltage control is?

    In what context? Perhaps the ability to adjust CPU, memory, and other system voltages on the fly?

    Sounds potentially risky.

    For Radeon X1800 and X19_0 series video cards it's a VGA bios feature that allows vGPU, vDD+vDDQ and VDDCI (X19_0 only) to be controlled via software such as ATiTool.

    I think he means what the video cards do at idle - clocks/volts drop to reduce temps.

    It boggles my mind why people ask questions like these on forums and wait for hours and days when Google would find the answer in 10 seconds.
