    I have 16 GB of Pareema Ram ddr3 1333, 9-9-9-24

would I see an improvement in games if say I got the G.Skill Ares ram 2133 that is on sale right now on newegg? 4gb x 2 for a total of 8gb. so I would only have 8 gb only and it would be running at 11-11-11

    any performance increase in gaming?

On sandy bridge, 1600Mhz CAS9 is just fine. you wont see more performance above that besides small increases in benchmarks. I would stick with what you have.

Brand, IMO, only matters in terms of warranty periods in most cases. Bandwith/latency, really helps mainly with loading times and moreso an ssd/faster hdd's/raided hdd/ssd's. Faster ram is more for multitasking.

back to the spec first, and tighter timing mostly work for OC and performance

ocin or higher speeds in ram make little difference in gameing, ive noted this frequently upping ddr2 800 -1200 gave no extra frames ,ddr3 step up didnt make as much difference as id hoped either, nor has overclocking it, though a system does seem snappier with fast mem and tight timings

thanks everyone, I will just stick with my pareema ddr3 16gb at 1333 9-9-9-24 timings.

it seems to work fine /shrug
