Basically the title sums it up. I'm looking at a set of red Type 4 cables in Corsair packaging on eBay, and they are listed as Type 4 (Gen 3). The ones on Corsair's website are listed as Type 4, Gen 4, but don't ship to my country for some reason (New Zealand). Their compatibility chart simply says to use "Type 4" cables with the RM750x (2021). Does the Gen number matter?
