Where is the option for "It's not my decision, it's W1zzards and if he wants to do it in the future he will regardless of what I think as he is our supreme overlord."

vBulletin has a nice enough front-end, but the back-end is a load of old crap imho. There are far better options if TPU was to change forum software, but at the end of the day, as it is works for what it is.

I'd imagine it's customizable. There's a style picker at the bottom and a them preview somewhere so you get an idea of what can be done with it.

I quite like it. Clean and pleasant looking. A customized version for TPU would be great.

Which forum software would you recommend. Note that I don't know one from another, so I'm just curious. :)

It seems based off of the text messaging app on my phone. Even flipping through the different styles it appears to be very similar within itself. I can imagine the style itself is something that would get changed to look more like TPU and it does "look" newer, but at the same time the old style TPU is something myself and it seems most other are very comfortable with.

I am sure I would be able to function without issue using that particular software, but it just seems like a waste to swap to it there is no major gains visibly going to that software over the current one.

This XenForo - looks like an text message from Apple :wtf:

We know what we have - I would say keep TPU like it is and works.

It's fast - no slowdowns and pauses, I like it. It should be different theme though.

    NO WAY IN HELL.
Upgrade software anyway you like, I don't give a damn, but keep the looks the way they are!
What's up with this "must change how it looks every xyz months/years" repeating trend that screws every good site up everytime the staff comes up with this idea?

Well, the restyling idea hasn't come from me, has it? tpu wants to do it, so I'm just going along with it. It's ultimately a very subjective thing, anyway, with no absolute right or wrong.

I see nothing wrong with a change. If they wanna modernize the place, chances have to be taken. I just don't know what look
