Download speed is very slow?

    Hey guys. Whenever i try download a song, game etc its very slow at 30kb/ps. I do an internet speedtest its at 5mb/ps. Even youtube videos load without a problem. Why is this is so? Thanks :)

    No, legit downloads. It starts off at 1500kb/ps then it becomes slower and slower and then decreases until 30kb/ps. But youtube etc has no problem downloading. Or any other websites for that matter.

    Have you tried different browsers ? Download managers can also help with this kind of thing

    I've only tried google chrome. I'll try internet explorer.

    Hmm internet explorers having the same problem. The download starts fast, then eventually slows down to a crawl T_T

    Im using Norton Anti virus/ internet security 2010. I had this problem even before i installed it. Since this is a fresh install on windows. Using Norton firewall.

    Hmm, it seems its fixed itself. I done a download of a game demo last night at 12pm. It started slowly at 30kb/ps but then crawled to its peak of 1500kb/ps. Its fixed :)

    It fixed itself for the moment but it will happen again; that's your ISP applying bandwidth throttling.;)

    Yeah that drives me mad. My isp (aol) throttle during the day but not during the night. DERP !
