Hey guys, I noticed there were not any threads created for DA: Inquisition. I am assuming because everybody is playing the game.... It released the same day as FC4.

WOW is this game amazing. It has yet to let me down. Compared to the last 2 Dragon age games, this one is even more in detail.... the zones are not restricted areas like before.... you can explore them fully. The amount of quests you run into is awesome! The combat system is awesome.

The only negative thing I have to say about this game so far is I don't like the Mouse1 Auto attack.

I am able to play fully maxed out, after a 3.5 hour session playing I want to say my lowest FPS was in the 40s.
Really pretty game, graphics and effects are awesome.

Just figured I would get a discussion going about this game since I was enjoying it so much.
This game really reminds me of the original SWKOTR games and skyrim combined.

Please no spoilers though since this is a newly released single player game.

Meh, opinions will vary.

I personally am enjoying it so far.

I do see valid points in those reviews, however I am not such a stickler on the Dialouge i see people complaining about.

I guess I'll have to judge it again further into the game.

This game......worth every penny. i have about 32 hrs in the game and i'm no were near done. i max it fine on a 970 and my 780ti wen i got it back from rma. The frames can dip to 40 in some spots with lots of npcs.
the combat took some getting used to. archer very powerful on this one about time i say lol. the mages seen a bit under powered but im still early in the game and that could change. my biggest beef is how half done the hairs and beards look compared to the face models. could be a glitch tho cuz i have encountered npcs with awesome looking hair and bear.

I'd hope it ran smooth, those are upper end cards.

I was monitoring GPU/CPU while playing and most of the time on Ultra detail the video card load was 95-100% with temps around 57c. CPU Load was minimal.... mostly near 35-50% usage.

I've had multiple sent to desktop crashes and the game seems frame locked. The cutscenes are not smooth, all jittery with frame skipping. I don't get why the face looks so different with the in game camera as opposed to the creation one. Can't see it very well in the character creation but the beards are objects floating away from the face model rather than being attached or part of the face model. Moustaches also cover the mouth completely so you can't experience any of the nice animations that actually go on. Had to settle on a less than awesome looking character but its okay because at least i managed to get this one to not look anorexic or like a gerbil.

Shame they didn't hold back the PC release a few weeks to implement whatever crap they need to get it to play consistently, fix the minor graphical glitches and performance issues.

I noticed the cut scenes being very choppy also. Especially in the intro of the game. Lots of graphic tearing going on. I was dissapointed by that, I will say.

And with creating a character, yes, that needs some work. I didn't try to customize my character to much, so I do have a more "Generic" looking character.

Again, Like Rcoon says, no game is perfect, and that includes this game. But it does certainly have some good things going for it.

As for the user reviews.... I will have to see how the game is down the road. I am only like 10ish hours into the game.

I havent had any of these reported tearing in cut scenes the game is running pretty smooth so far. The has its glitches and, thats expected. The game,is not even a week old yet.
I checked and i have 38hrs in and i can tell u this game is damn big a lot of content.

It was weird. the tearing seemed to go away the more I played. But there was noticeably bad tearing in the cutscenes in the intro.

And yes, the game is 3-4 days old. I would say the release has gone smoother than AC Unity for example.

I keep getting crashes, this is garbage.

EDIT: I can't even get past the fade at the temple. This game just keeps crashing to desktop. Not to mention the several graphical glitches.

Its a pile of crap that i can't even play, at least you can PLAY AC: Unity even though it has problems.

Combat isn't too bad, i quite like using strategy. Anyway the ONLY way i can get it to run is if i enable in game fullscreen windowed mode.

I'm really happy with this game, like it more than destiny or sims 4, the last 2 games i bought. The story/voice acting is superb, duh. the action is a lot more visceral and engaging, while still allowing strategy. interesting characters, loot, monsters... i'm happy :)

I'm going thru the same. Can't really get into the game it crashes so much. Supposedly, there is a patch in the works

Might be far fetched, but could the crashing possibly be from being installed on an SSD rather than an HDD? I noticed both of you have an SSD...

Actually, I just installed a Samsung 840 EVO SSD last night and reinstalled Windows on it, I will have to test it out when I install DA:I again.

I was reading somewhere for a different game(Archeage) that the DX11 was causing massive dumps of memory on SSD's... however this is most likely just a game-only issue, but still felt it wouldn't hurt to mention it.

-Will post an update once I try the game out on my SSD

meh. the design is favorable to using a gamepad - but I do 90% of the time now anyway. there are more benefits to pc gaming than just a kb/m ;) and as i get older, I am willing to sacrifice performance for comfort. it hurts using a kb/m for a long period of time. mass effect 3 on pc was ruined for me because I couldn't use my 360 controller. that was a dealbreaker with dragon age for me. it needed to support 360 controllers.

i understand your frustrations. it SHOULD work properly with kb/m and not be hamstrung into using a controller - but it still doesn't effect my enjoyment of the game any.

Is it just me.... Or is the difference between hard and normal difficulty ridiculous? On hard I can't stay alive in long fights to save my life, and on normal it seems to easy.
