It seems 3D Realms is indeed still working on Duke Nukem Forever, the game they that has been under development since somewhere last century.

It seems it's been going pretty well for the past 2 years. The main thing that currently lacks in DNF is content. 3D Realms is hiring people to create this, while model work is outsourced to Liquid. From this you could conclude that the technical part is mostly done.

Unfortunately nothing official about any date (or year) has been said. Time will eventually show if DNF is vaporware or not.

More details...

Just give them time.

I remember that "Heart of Darkness" took about 7 years
(and the game was way to short)

But the real game that I'm waiting for is "Prey" (FPS)

It was announced 2gether with the first Unreal, around 1994-1995
They have rewritten the engine now like 3 times, but they are still increasing
the game in size:D
