Hi everyone,
I'm experiencing a problem with my computer. During gaming, monitor shows black screen and "No Signal-Analog" displayed. Whenever I experience this issue the screen goes black and glitches heard at the speaker (Part of game audio repeated or some creepy noises etc..). At this point of time if I restart the PC it will boot but black screen will appear. In order to get the proper display I need to cut the power and boot the PC again.

Games which I have tried are mentioned below:
  • Need for Speed Most Wanted 2012
  • Need for Speed SHIFT
  • Battlefield 3
  • Battlefield 4
  • DMC - DevilMayCry
  • All the games are played at resolution 1440 x 900 and graphics details Medium-High.

In my observation CPU Idle temperature is 25°C and during the game play it will reach around 36-40 °C max and GPU Idle temperature is 41°C and during the game play it will reach around 60-64°C max. After reaching the GPU max temperature i.e. 64°C within 2-3 minutes of gaming monitor shows black screen and shows "No Signal-Analog".

It is observed that the issue occurs fast If I play game at Ultra Settings.

I tried the below changes and still the issue keeps recurring again.
  • Changed the CPU-GPU thermal compound
  • Did under-clocking the GPU by 100Mhz
  • Increased the fan speed to 100% with the help of AMD OverDrive
  • Decreased the Power limit settings to -10% and did tests again on stock clock and under-clocked condition
  • Tried different version of the Catalyst drivers i.e. The driver comes with the bundled DVD, Latest drivers, Previous versions of drivers etc..

At this point of time I'm really in trouble because I can't play any games more than 15-20 minutes.

Please suggest me:
What could be the possible reason for this issue?
How can I rectify the issue?
Thank you in advance for your help and advice.

System Specification:

I'm thinking replace the GPU, preferably with the manufacturer (should be under warranty I hope). It sounds like thermal expansion is doing something it shouldn't to the card. GPUs should be able to get hotter than 64C and keep chugging along.

Yes I did that. There isn't any noticeable difference now, I could say it took little more time to crash the PC this time.

System is very clean, I made sure there are no dust covered in fan or any surrounding area. About the VGA cable, I have connected a new VGA cable in-order to verify the issue. All the connections are firm. The power supply which I am presently using is a new one. Still issue persists.

I took the cooler out of the card and cleaned the dusts few days ago. There aren't any visible damages in any components or no burn marks in PCB.

Call Sapphire, their tech support is good (at least here in US), see if they know about this issue, may be a new bios or RMA.

Seems like most of the games you mentioned are from 'Origin' (EA Games). Origin is piece of sh*t. I had similar issue, whenever I play BF4/BF3 and after couple of sleep/wakeup cycles suddenly monitor goes black and computer is no use until power cycled.

I stopped playing those for more than a week, no crash so far.

So may be save those games on a different drive, uninstall Origin and copy back the games and point origin to that folder instead of re downloading the game.

To eliminate the GPU overheating and throwing black screen, download a GPU stress testing tool (even GPUZ or OCCT will work) and stress the GPU.
Sapphire doesn't have a direct service centre in Delhi instead they have a third party Aditya Info-tech dealing with these product related issues, I will contact them soon.
Yep, Most of the games are from Orgin. My room mate is having an old PC with Q6600+HD7850 running all these games without any hiccups so far, this made me think that there must be a problem with my PC.

Few days before I got F1 2014 but still no luck. (Same issue observed)

As you suggested I have tried 'FurMark - CPU Stess Test tool' just now.
Test Details: Resolution 1280x720
Mode: Burn-in test
Anti-aliasing: Off
GPU Temperature while starting the test: 38°C
Test Status: Failed. Within a minute"No Signal-Analog" status displayed on screen.
I took the GPU-Z Log and attached for your reference.

Can we confirm anything now?

Yes GPU Still under warranty I got this card from Flipkart almost a year ago.
I had a similar thought but so far I couldn't confirm that GPU is faulty. Well this time let me contact the service team and ask for help. Do you think I can tell them these issues and they will replace the card? Is it a common issue? Is there any specific term for this issue?

Yes I have removed and cleaned the old thermal paste. Later re-applied new one 'Cooler Master - Thermal Compound kit'.

64*C isn't too high for that GPU iirc. In fact those temperatures are lower than my 6870s at stock. The 7750 can handle up to 80*C, can't it?

What do your CPU temperatures look like?

Yes I feel the same way, 64°C is not too high. I did little a Google search and find out that 7750 must be stable around 77°C.
Reference Link: http://goo.gl/acFP7u
CPU Temperature: Ideal 28°C and Maximum Temp is 36~40°C , it never goes above that. Even at Over-clocked condition i.e. 3.5-3.6 GHz CPU temperature never used to raise above that limit.

He has some work related stuffs in his PC so he won't let me touch. I did beg for his help :respect: but that dude doesn't want his PC peripherals to be disturbed any way. It would have been little easier for me otherwise. :(

By the way did you get any idea after seeing that GPU-Z Log?
Seems like GPU service is the only way. Next couple of days are off due to Deepavali festival. I will have to wait at least 5 days for the GPU service

So is this with every game or just the ones you listed? And everything else in your system is stable and whatnot?

Also filling out your spec list on your profile can help for future things.

By any chance you have overclocked your CPU? In the above post you mentioned 3.5 to 3.6. May be load safe values in bios and test the games with stock CPU and GPU clocks.

GPUz logs looks good, except for the last few crazy ones, may be its a blip.

So is this with every game or just the ones you listed? And everything else in your system is stable and whatnot?

Also filling out your spec list on your profile can help for future things.
This issue occurs with almost every games.
Couple of months ago I wasn't facing issues at all. I have played almost every games listed without any issues long ago.

Presently PC works fine during other activities such as Browsing, Watching HD Movies, Photo Editing Using Adobe CS5, Adobe After Effects (Even during long rendering process i.e. 8+ hours never found such issues). The issue occurs only while gaming.

Surely I will update my System Specs list. :)

By any chance you have overclocked your CPU? In the above post you mentioned 3.5 to 3.6. May be load safe values in bios and test the games with stock CPU and GPU clocks.

GPUz logs looks good, except for the last few crazy ones, may be its a blip.
Presently CPU runs at stock speed i.e. 3200 MHz and BIOS values are saved with the safe values. In my last post I mentioned that way because I just want Mr. Lightbulbie know that CPU temperatures are safe. Did over-clock only to to test the efficiency of CPU Cooler (Cooler Master Hyper TX3 EVO Cooling Fan) normally PC runs at stock speed.

That last crazy one are happened during the error. I did observe that too but from the log didn't really understood anything.

Reinstall drivers, infact try newer ones if possible or roll back to an older release. Seems like the games are making the monitor out-of-range like it can't handle the resolution or refresh rate the games are trying to set at. I was going to say try Furmark but it seems it already works then i was going to suggest try some 2D only games. I has a feeling the 3D is broken on the card but if 3D does works it seems like a out of range thing.

Are the capacitors okay? Is the power supply okay?

Usually you can tell if a card is broken if its okay at idle and starts going fuber when you put a load on it.

Power supply is fine. I have a strong feeling that the card is broken so I decided to give it for RMA. I will update as soon as I get a reply from the Service team.
