I bought this PC a month back with seperate parts. Both DVD drives are from an old setup as is the power supply. everything else new.
EVGA 680 sli mobo
LG GSA HL50 DVD burner (IDE connection)
Lite ON DVD drive (IDE connection)
Evga GeForce 8800 gts 320MB
So i can put a dvd movie into either drive. Windows picks it up on My Computer. I try to play it with Power DVD, VLC, and WMP. None of them work. VLC doesnt display anything. Power DVD closes down, and WMP says:
Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because there is a problem with digital copy protection between your DVD drive, decoder, and video card. Try installing an updated driver for your video card.
I reinstalled the driver from the EVGA website and still no luck. On the LG website all they have is firmware. Which shouldnt be needed because they worked on my last computer.
I need ideas
