dvi to hdmi question

    alrighty so i wanna hook up my pc with a dvi video card to my hdtv but it doesnt have dvi so im gonna get a dvi to hdmi converter. my question is will dvi carry 1080p like hdmi does?i ask this cause i know component cannot do 1080p.

    if you gfx card can do 1080p, then it will display 1080p via dvi... but no audio, of course ;).

    Well DVI can carry PC resolutions of up to 2560x1680 so I'm sure it can handle 1080p.
