I picked up the MSI 750i board... It was $20 cheaper than anything else....

$45 on GTS250 if not more?
How much on the 750i board?

Looks like you spend as much or close as it would cost for a brand new CPU+Mobo...
Why waste little money you have on old parts?
Does not compute...

I just sold an i7 940 (paid $100), rather than spend the $$ to upgrade my system...

my PC as it sits now..
water-cooled koolance case: free after I sold the parts that came with it..
DVD rw drive $5
4gb XMS ddr 800 $30
mobo $42
CPU $20
HDDs $30
vid card $45
psu corsair 650w $50
20in LCD $65
win 7 pro $30

I enjoy tweaking my crap more than gaming, and if I blow something I'm not out of $300...

99% of my old stuff that I upgrade from is sold before I get something new, or is put into a computer I sell...

PC/gaming is not my main hobby, I race RC 1/8 buggy and SCT mainly...

Heres what i got out of my old E6300

Try and get a asus p5b-dlx, awesome overclocker, there was more in the board and chip but the ram crapped out. This was at 1.57vcore with a freezer 7 pro.

e6300? My first dual core chip and an awesome one. I think I had it at 3.6 or 3.7. With the right board and BIOS knowledge you can squeeze out amazing numbers of this thing.

Just like i did, was a squeeze too. The board chip and ram are still working too, albeit not overclocked.
