E8500 at 4.3, want to get to 4.5 need help

Alright I have an E8500 at 4.3ghz (450x9.5) and i would like to push it to 4.5 if I could. I would try myself but I'm new to the wolfdales and I don't know the the max recommended cpu voltage for this cpu is and I don't want to fry it or anything

Motherboard is a Rampage formula with .410 bios
Bios settings as of now for 4.3
CPU: 1.41250 volts (1.392 according to CPU-Z)
CPU PLL: 1.6 volts
NB: 1.47
FSB Termination: 1.42 volts
SB: 1.125 volts
Loadline calibration is enabled and CPU spread spectrum is disabled.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

So the voltages are fine in terms of long term?? whats the highest I should push the voltage before i start getting into the danger zone?

oh for 24/7 usage? Nah I wouldnt push much further. Then again do you have the money to replace it if things get ugly?

From the "buzz" i read more that 1.4-1.45 24/7 is really the upper end, but for benching say 20-30 minute runs I say go for it!

Ya i got the money to replace it, but thx for telling me. I'll probably lower it to 4.0 for 24/7 (can do it at 1.36 v) and then I'll work on getting 4.5 for benching, thx sneeky

Try dropping the PLL to 1.54ish and up the FSB Term to around 1.6.

You shouldnt *really* run a processor on higher then 1.4 for 24/7, basically degredation kicks in and your a chip down faster than say 1.35v. Also consider the heat produced at these higher voltages!

damn that e8500 need some volts i only need 1.35 to get my e7200 to 4.0 im sure it would be lower only thats the volts i used, it sits at 3.8ghz/1.25v all day long

thats cuz you have a good chip....Ill quarantee your results are below the avg. required to get 4.0GHz on the E7200.

The FSB VTT on that proc is not supposed to be no higher than 1.4!!!!

You WILL burn it out at 1.6.

Safe is <1.4 vcore
and <1.35 - 1.4 VTT - ive seen people OC it to 4.5 on 1.18 VTT so there is no reason to up the termination voltage. +1 on turning off load line calibration

1.4 on my blood iron...It took 1.42 to hit 4.0GHz on my foxconn, and just a bit under 1.4 to do it on my DK. so I have to guess 1.4V avg.

I would also bring down the PLL voltages:

I got it to run at 4.4 ghz, but i had to push it all the way to 1.464 volts for the cpu, which i think means im getting towards the limit since i could run 4.3 on about 1.4 volts
I'll keep trying for 4.5

as you can see....like i say not bad for suicide benches or just to try to find the max, but i have yet to see any odd issues due to "benching" with higher voltages. Again these arent 24/7 voltages!

aight thx sneeky, im going to try and get the most i can out of the voltage i already have set and ill keep going in small steps once i start increasing voltage. Hopefully i'll be able to get to 4.5
