Looks like a super expensive massive black brick with glass screen attached to it.
For a price of a well equiped hatchback, they could use some styling on it...

With the way it's mounted to the base, it looks like it's going to fall over.

you shouldn't care about design for now, you should care about technology and this is quite a step forward. so eizo deserve some praising for pioneering.

Feck yes. this is just damned sweet, 3D without glasses.

My only concern is narrow viewing angles
    DRDNA and DaMulta say thanks.

It will probably be used in commercial displays where they can hide the bezel... maybe a fancy makeup counter?

HA, actually, would you guys try on different creams to see this monitor if that was the only way to try it out in real life?

This is really awesome news. :D

I thought it had like a 14 inch screen but it has a 23inch screen. Not bad. And my room is quite dark so i probably wouldn't notice the bezel if i owned one. ;)

As much as I dislike that TFT manufacturers are abandoning 16:10 for 16:9, I can at least understand it from a cost perspective. But for something like this, that's so obviously 'enthusiast' based (at least for now), and is so obviously NOT cost effective, don't you think they could have at least gone with a full 1920 x 1200?

Always nice to see advancements in non glasses based 3d, but most TV manufacturers are far ahead of the TFT designers, so I'm not sure what they are really expecting to prove here, when Samsung and Sony R&D say proper glassless 3d is still several years away.

Anyways, 3d is still just a fad. In it's own way it will settle down and find a niche, but it's not going to be the next big industry standard.

'4k' or 'Quad HD' is the real next step.

For years people continued to buy computer monitors because they offer 16:10 and a higher maximum resolution (that being 2560x1600) than televisions. But 4k televisions are on there way. Companies like Eizo should kick the 3d nonsense to the curb, and start putting out some 4k computer monitors, or else televisions are going to dwarf the tft market in every aspect and make them obsolete.

Epic Lulz, that big ass box is so ugly and def overpriced. It looks like the designer is taking a step backwards in terms of architect.

I'm really sick of this 3-D garbage, it come back every 10 or years, and were all told it will be the next big thing, and then it dies again! I simply want my monitors, and TV's to be bigger, have sharper images, and cost less, 3-D needs to GTFO because no one cares!;)

It doesn't have a bezel and it is as thin as a peice of paper, the 3D effect doesn't just work without glasses it works when it isn't switched on too :

It uses a lenticular lens I think so viewing angle will not be as we know now. The issue may be multiple viewing angles e.g. like those little action cards you get out of a cereal box. In any case, it's great to see some progress.

Well, no. See, technology moves forward. 3D used properly can be darn cool.

The monitor is ugly, but as others have said, there's a lot of things in there not needed in your standard monitor. Give it time and we'll have models that look sleek and are good for Eyefinity and whatnot. It is also worth to point out that this is the very first monitor of its kind. So it's a young technlogy.

Looks more like a proof of concept. Nobody except the rich few will buy them, and even then, not many at all. Probably will replace the dumb glasses idea, that never really took off anyway. Give it a good 3 years and we might see these phasing out the glasses.

I think it looks awesome. The less flashy it is, and the more industrial and purpose built it looks, the better for me. I like things that are designed with function as the only real concern.

It's "naked eye 3-D", and all people can comment on is the aesthetics...

I think it's amazing, whatever it looks like.
