I'm not gonna join either side till I nearly finish the game. maybe.

I joined the imperials with an earlier charachter, and I really don't like them. I don't particularly care for ulfy either, but I kinda wanna see whiterun get attacked by dragons.


I'm having a problem. its the quest "Wolf queen awakened" \/

I was feeling Like killing some draugr deathlords, so I went and did the Potema quests, before I recieved the quest from falk. Since I had done it before, I knew what to do and got her skull and everything, then after he eventually gave me the quest, I went and took the skull to the guy I was supposed to, and he doesn't say anything about it. And I can't remove it from my inventory, even with console command player.removeitem. It says its a quest Item, I think I need to remove it and then add it again. But I can't.

Dwarven is my favorite armor. If it had the same specs as ebony I'd still use it. I found the ebony mail though, so thats what I've got. Its the same as ebony armor, but without the stupid shoulder pads. And its silent = awesome sneaking. And it does poison damage to any enemy nearby.

I was messing around with the console, trying to turn freefly camera on I think, and I accidentally typed psb, not remembering what it did. Now I have every spell and shout in the game, including developer spells that don't do anything. So there's like 300 spells in my spellbook now. (All the shouts are still locked) And you can't remove them, without doing each one individually. I thought about making a .bat file with all of the ones I need removed, but id's for developer spells aren't listed anywhere.

Make sure you're trying to give it to Styrr (and not to Falk Firebeard or somebody else..)

Try this:

Stand infront of Falk Firebeard and type into the console. setstage MS06 160 this will award shield and money, then setstage MS06 250 to remove it from the journal

... Did you visit many main story line quest dungeons before you were "supposed to", and did it break any quests?...

... I assume you just amassed shouts and had to sit on them until there were dragon souls to unlock them?

I tried to avoid most of the main plot points - and just did a lot of "kill this bandit, punk that giant, fetch my grandpappys lost sword" type quests.

I did clean out some stuff in a few main halls where I knew there was a lot of things I needed for leveling - metal ingots for example - some MAIN quest places have nice treasure deposits, It didn't seem to effect anything too much though - seems by the time I did the quests for real everything just re spawned.

So no real issues with pre discovering quest places - just leave NPC's you accidentally find well alone (Unless you WANT to actually start whatever quest they belong to - which I'm SURE you will actually get directed to eventually when its time anyway), and everything went just fine.

I had done a LOT of just running around sounding out locations on the map and that was AWSM to finally play the game and know where almost everything was already - or at least have a location very close already marked.

And yes - piled up a LOT of disabled shouts as there where no dragons yet, but to be honest 99% of the shouts are completely useless anyway, and even though I have souls now I just don't bother with them - I really only use "Slow Time" to deal with those SUPER ICE MAGE guys who shoot icicles like a goddamn mini-gun - just go all bullet time run around behind them and off with their heads...

I would say try to max out smithing first, if you're into power leveling. Pickpocket is fun too though, I finally got it maxxed, and most of the perks for it. Its fun to steal peoples clothes. Anytime anyone says something rude I steal their clothes. There are a lot of naked guards in my skyrim.

Did you make him look like yourself? cuz that face looks like the default nord face. He needs a new hairdo I think. or maybe some eyeshadow

Yeah, I don't bother with all the fancy face crap. That being said, if you put glasses on him he would look pretty similar to me.

Im a fat orc right now, but I can't stand his ugly face so I keep a dragon mask on him.

Edit: Guess what I just did? I was trying to setup a little fight in solitude with the console, accidently made 5 potemas. Killed some important people. I'm gonna try outside of town now...

I haven't done the MQ so no dragons at the moment. I kind of miss them in-game so I think I will get far enough so they show up again.

My character is level 15, so I'm right at that point where I regularly get my ass handed to me if I'm not really careful. lol

I chose the default "tired old man who likes to give away things in contests" and that's what they looked like.

Nice. Though surely you can use 4x, for the record. 8x is the biggest performance hit by far compared to the two others in this game and there's not that much discernable diff between 4 and 8 anyway.

I could use 4xAA but no need IMO.

Bethesda HD texture at 1080p no aa looks better than Vanilla 4xaa.
Don't think my 1 gig vram can handle 2xaa with the HD textures.

Either way the smoothness of the game compared to release is very impressive. It pisses all over Oblivion when it comes to optimisation and fluidity.

Can you handle the HD textures?
I had to disable one of them (yes I am using only one esp of the textures) because my game started dropping to 5 fps every 15 seconds
And we have very similar system specs...

Wait.. it could be because I'm running it at 2560x1440.. darn..
