I used to run the 1.1 patch, then i updated to 1.2...

I honestly haven't heard too many guards quote the sentence about having an arrow in the leg.

Mainly about me being a sneak thief, having honeyed words and keeping my mace away from them.

From what I've read, how often they say certain things depends on your skills, equipment, actions, etc. For example, I don't have very high speechcraft so I've never heard the honeyed words thing. I don't have whatever that mace is, so they never mention it. I use destruction a lot though, so they tell me "destruction magic is fine, just don't go burning down any buildings"

My guess is that the "I used to be an adventurer like you" bit comes if you explore a lot, which I definitely do.

Yeah I have high speechcraft, and sneaking.
Only since I acquired a specific mace, I was told to keep the mace away from them.

Yeah, it's some sort of daedric artifact, I read about that one.

If you "dual-wield" in the loosest sense, whether having weapons in both hands or a weapon and a spell, they would comment on that too. Something like this: "The Divines gave man two hands, and you choose to use both to fight."

I've heard of you and your honeyed words...

I get told "be careful with that flame" all the time as I've fire damage enchanted weapons

Aside from that I get compliments on my armour and get told to keep my fingers off stuff ( got caught breaking into a house one time and now all the guards know)

Was for a non theify quest as well I just couldn't be bothered to wait til the door was open

Update on my problem.

I deleted the game and re-downloaded it afresh from Steam.

Still the same issue.

I also tried putting all settings on 'Low' and running at 1080p instead of 2560x1440.

Still nothing.

Has anyone with CF or with a 5970 tried Skyrim with 11.11c?

If it runs well for you then my problem isn't the driver..

Well, I managed to get the game running finally. With the 4GB LAA fix here http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1013 and the ATI fix for the 4GB LAA fix.... http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2182

If it runs well for you then my problem isn't the driver..

Hey if you're still having that problem, I remember getting a dodgey driver for skyrim and it reduced all my image quality and performance to sh*t. Have you tried a full uninstall of your ATI drivers with driver sweeper?

yea Skyrim responds to Nvidia GPUs better on the whole right now to a rather ridiculous extent really especially when AA is taken into account.

Seeing those bolded words, I just got to say, on the hole it does feel good.

i did that with magelight, and had a kid run up and ask me to make him invisible. i lied and said he was, but he didnt do a nudie run or anything fun.

Order your follower (if you have one) to sleep in a bed, then feed on them.

You can also talk to random Guards and NPCs who will mention a Necromancer in Morthal who knows much about Vampires and Necromancy. He can cure you.

I looked for ways to roll back to 1.1 and found it.
Took the arrow out of my knee.

Turns out the performance drop was lag even when casting spells.
I would cast Clairvoyance and there would be noticeable pause every time.

Can't use two rings again, but it doesn't matter when teh game performance was bad with 1.2 patch.

Found 1.1 files in softpedia, made a backup of the original skyrim folder, then replaced the files with the ones found at softpedia.

A couple of other files will need to be replaced which the one at softpedia did not have if there had been tweaks done to the SkyrimPrefs.ini and the Controls.

Hah missed that option in command mode so far. Nice to know I can give Lydia a rest; occurred to me she could probably use one!
