The wall behind the guy looks exactly the same, if one had fxaa on and the other didn't, you know know judging by the detail on that wall easily. But I think he just grabbed that pic from the mods page.

Light armour isn't necessarily leather and to be perfectly honest the original texture leaves so much to be desired that it is hard to tell exactly what they wanted it to be... And besides at least it still looks like it is lightweight.

Geesh, that quest shouldn't have started at all for me because it's very obvious it can't be completed. Or at least the game should have given me other dialogue options to speak to the mother so I could end the quest. Duh...

The Nexus file servers seriously needs some more bandwidth...can browse the site fine but downloads time out last couple days. Guess I could make a donation...

This is another reason I like this upcoming Steam Workshop integration.

And I didn't even know there was this "Nightengale" armor. A minor spoiler, to be sure, but I enjoy discovering those types of things in-game. Not really complaining about you guys; that's the type of thing you run into if you want to browse for mods. I got a nice Gold-inlay Ebony retex more like it was in Oblivion.

meanwhile, maybe i could imagine some mods...

Friction mod: Movement varies with the environment. Snowy areas/water will force you to walk slower depending on your stamina rating/carried weight/being in heavy armor etc. Affects both player and enemies/NPC. Slippery iced mountain slopes cannot be easily walked into (even by those damn spidey foot horses lol). Harsh winds can also slightly drain stamina and may force you to walk slower. And in higher elevation may knock you over the slopes lol.

Musical instrument mod: enables you to play those musical instruments and possibly earn sumthin, can travel from inn to inn/tavern and depending on the place people may like or hate your music.

Weapons will have different attacks: Aside of having specific effects like ignore armor, bleeding, stagger etc, axes, maces swords will have a different attack pattern to them/animation, creating more variety (remembers the blade and blunt from before hehe).

Realtime lockpicking: doesn't freeze time, makes things interesting imo hehe.

Avalanche mod: impossible i guess? maybe there's not much snow in the alps '__'

Better stealth mechanic: Snipe an enemy from afar with a bow. Companion is threatened, but after a while he forgets about it, same with being sniped. You received an arrow to your skull, but forgets about it after a while (arrow still in the skull).
Let em search over you indefinitely, maybe even relocate themselves, or make em swing their axes in the dark areas/unleash some arrows/fireball in random directions (until at least after a day or two, they return back to normal).

"Hardcore" mode: just like in new vegas. Eating and drinking is a must

alright so got my 3d apps installed,

currently working on remaking the Dragon Bone Smasher from Demon Soul's using Warhammer move set, should be interesting, got the base model done just need to uv map normal map and texture it, nothing reall that difficult after all its just a giant blunt sword that you knock shit around with. still should be entertaining.

Awesome, can't wait to see it. I get a Dark Souls vibe just running around in heavy armor in Skyrim

, just too bad it doesn't have the same awesome battle mechanics I'd never get off the game if Skyrim did :rockout:

Like I said...no big deal. One less "oh cool" moment but this game has no shortage of those. Though people have been getting a little lax in here lately with anecdotes about foes faced on the main quest and such.

I wish notes were released on what the patch updates are aiming to do so I don't stop playing the game in hopes of a patch to resolve the issues I currently have.

lol i guess, tho i have yet to encounter some serious game breaking bug.

Another mod ideas:

In addition to the environmental effects mod, weather can affect effectiveness i combat, too cold and it could affect your skills, but Nords will have more resistance (lol i wonder how those cold blooded reptilian Argonians coping with the weather). Cooking would make more sense in "hardcore" mode, and yeah:
