for the record, this isn't going to be my machine, but my friends.
For the majority of the hardware inside the computer, a quad/mobo/4gig of ram should be more than enough, those are the requirements for any software he's going to be running.
the places i need assistance on, are Sound Cards and/if a decent video card should be included for futureproofing(GPGPU accleration for audio software and packages).
He will be using keyboards(instrument), amps, monitors and whatever else, i know very little when it comes to those items. (thats his area, im tasked with the PC itself.)
I'm going to be the builder of this machine, but im at a loss when it comes to the audio specific hardware requirements. Anyone here work in audio who could share specs/ideas/recommendations? any help, any at all, would be greatly appreciated.
