EP45--UD3P mother board missing OS

I turned on my computer and it went to the check out and at the bottom and said missing OS
I was running windows 7 home prem I don't know what happened?
how can I get the OS back I've tried to re install windows 7 at no avail what can I do
I built this computer about 8 years ago
I have a intel E5200 775 cpu .

check in the bios if it sees the drive.

if not you need a new one

Also, if it is listed there, then check your boot order.
Being that the MB/system is 8 years old, you may want to check/change your CMOS/BIOS battery on the motherboard, too.

I say either BIOS battery or HDD. First check in BIOS for the HDD. If it is listed, it may possibly be the battery, since that holds all your settings.

It is one of the best! And probably one of the top 3 skt775 overclockers!

Probably not. But it's still probably a very nice mobo, which probably overclocks very well. Similar overclocking wise to the Asus P5E3 Premium. And probably not as overclockable as some other LGA775 Gigabyte mobos (e.g. Gigabyte EP45T-EXTREME or Gigabyte X38-DS4)

x38 and x48 could not do the same fsb with quads as the p45. all great for the duos but only the best could doo the same silly high fsb with the 45nm quads.

the i45 and the good p45 ds3p/c/r/extreme boards are the top tier 775 for my money dude because of that.
