Benchmark Scores irrelevant for me
Lets see, it takes some people a full month to earn enough for a months subscription, valued at roughly $14. Safe to presume it will take a year of serious dedication to earn enough for a videocard?

if you barely earn enough for monthly subscription and use it to extend you will never have nothing extra to can spend on the offered card...

i see it like a marketing gimmick just to have more subscribed players;you will need years to save the game currency if your statement is correct ref.14$ ...or you pay monthly the cash for subscription and in 1 year you will have maybe the needed credit to buy it;but till than the gtx560 will cost less than you invested... so who win? "EVE" of course...

which again is why its foolish for someone to start out now trying to get a card, a low end job would be smarter, than you could play eve to play eve, instead of playing eve to earn a "free" card.

BUT, if you've been playign eve for years and have been paying a subscription, you may have 200$ worth of in game creds already and can buy the card instantly.

So while they may have started the deal to entice new people to get the game, it really is only those already playing that can benefit from the program. I mean based on the 14$ a month earn rate you listed it would take 14.5 months to earn the card. By that time the card will be so out of date it won't be worth anywhere near 200$. Of course they could change the card as new ones become available.

I've tried googling for the original announcement CCP and I couldn't find it. All I could find were various articles reporting this, so I'm not sure how legitimate this news is. It sounds like an April Fool, doesn't it? Admittedly though, these are reputable sites that have been reporting it.

It's supposed to have been announced at the CCP keynote, but I'll be damned if I can find it.

Lulz now you consider sources.

I read through the posts, and it seems to me that I might be the first person to reply that has actually played that game for 6 years. Let me tell you, a plex costs 350 million in game money (well 275-350) it takes me 5-7 hours to farm that solo. you would need 13..333333 plexs to make 200$ or 4billion in game money, let me tell you, i can make that in 2 weeks solo or 3 days with my guild.... not bad for a gfx card.

titans only cost about 80 bil, and they take a month to farm.

That was a very good thing, but right now it's geting more and more popular. You can even buy cars in some games or platforms. EVE online was innovative game with creative systems.
