EVGA released a teaser showing a bit of their new cooler.... Looks nice, but who knows. More information will be released on May 23rd...

So... It looks like a dual fan GPU heatsink unless I'm missing something?

Yeah it is erocker, as far as I can see too.

They probably thought they needed something to go up against custom designs like MSI/ASUS etc.

AFAIK Evga was just offering slightly modified blower coolers for their GFX, no?

They always said blower coolers were better too. "Heat gets exhausted from the case, rather then looming in the case heating up other components." is what they used to say. I guess their mentality changed with this "fancy" dual fan cooler.

Quite a bit of theatrics just for a heatsink that won't be any better than the Twin Frozr or Direct CU II.

You gotta remember it's evga, they make a big deal out of anyting.

I mean the company has to ride the hype wave to carry on since they mostly profit on that.

And that gold detail on top... Hm, interested to see the full cooler, but mostly how it performs.

Not really. Their cards are still great. Only ones I get when I get an NVidia card. There warranty and customer support is some of the best out of the Nvidia Vendors.

I've had good luck with EVGA cards, aside from the GTX 460 1GB pseudo-reference card I had that shorted out and the VRM controller literally went up in smoke. They still accepted my RMA, gave me a refurbished reference 460 1GB in a timely manner and it still works great in a friend's machine. I did have an EVGA P55 FTW for about a year and it was a pretty cool board, but the BIOS was sort of buggy (not terribly bad, though).

Like I mentioned 3 weeks ago during the Titan Ultra and LE article..... The GTX 780/770 will come in a duel fan config as well.

EVGA worked with Arctic cooling to make this cooler. It's great for home PC market horrible for a 2U, 1.5U or 1U Server OEM market like I am in.

How is it overclocking wise? Did they address RAM stability issues? Especially on XMP

I have to disagree. Their warranty and service used to be good. But they trashed their name by doing shady shit like switching most cards to 3 year warranties. Then not honoring those 3 year warranties if you didn't register the card within 30 days of purchase. And not honoring warranties at all if you didn't buy it from major retailer. Which means anything bought from small local shops has no warranty at all, even if you provide a receipt proving when and where you bought it.

Yes the 30 day signup to get your warranty trick is pretty shitty. You know it's a scam move just from the fact warranties for products in general are moving away from signups. All the non-computer related big ticket items I've bought in the past few years specifically say registering isn't necessary for any aspect of the warranty.

I've even tried registering for cards that needed it before only to find the registration site was DOWN. One of these companies would probably do well to advertise a signup free warranty to shame the competition out of this scam artist mindset.

i cant speak for 4 sticks of DD3 @ 1886 or higher, but my 2 x4gb 1600 mushkins are set on XMP for my o/c and its stable as can be. I've ran about 2 months of WCG w/o any blue screens or hiccups so far along with a nice 8 hour Prime 95 stress run the day i o/c'ed my rig in the beginning of april.
