So I searched around and couldn't find a thread for this, but I want to know if the EVGA backplate for the GTX 470 can be used on a GTX 465. More specifically the MSI Twin Frozr Copper version of the GTX 465.

That card is the coolest (literally) of any GTX 465 and the only one I'd buy, but that bare PCB is ugly (spoiled by my 5870 lol), and if it can reduce temps even more like EVGA claims, then that's even better! So does anyone know if it can be used since the GTX 465 has the same length as the GTX 470?

I guess I just answered my own question, that it can be used on reference GTX 465s, does anyone know if the Twin Frozr one uses a reference PCB or has a different one?

Well the point is that do the GTX 465 and 470 have the same length? I'm searching for that
Probably not NVIDIA Reference design because I saw that card with a lot of MSI's own design for stability and high performance. If I wrong, anyone can correct me or blame me :banghead:

I do believe the twin frozr uses the reference PCB

And yes the 465's have the same length PCB as the 470's.(Nvidia uses the same PCB for both those cards)

Looks like it won't fit, the copper heatsink might run into the backplate a little near the top.
