I ordered the regular gtx260 (non-SC) from Amazon, and they still list my order. I didn't get an email or notification on their site, so lets just wait and see.

Yeah, mine is still listed at Amazon too, with an estimated ship date of today or tomorrow. I'm guessing Amazon is NOT aware of what this company is doing.

Yeah, I've got a couple of cards that I can use. However, I'm not going to just let this one go, that is for sure. Hopefully, it is an honest mistake that they will correct for the customers benefit.

Just called Electronica Direct and they told me the same thing. I was told i would get a full refund if they can't procure the card from another supplier. If this thing doesn't work out, I'll follow your lead and file a complaint with the BBB. I'm also going to give them negative feedback at Reseller Ratings, even though they don't activle participate in the RR feedback program.

Ah well...hopefully it works out, but I'm not counting on it. :cry:

I recieved another email from them yesterday. They basically said they would have a resolution to this issue by the end of the day. I never did hear from them at the end of the day. They just wanted me off their back for a few hours. They will be hearing from me later this morning, as this is pissing me off. Just give me a yes or no. If the answer is no, give me my money back with an apology. That is all I ask.

So. comparing notes from other people, instead of the vendor simply stating that the item was improperly priced due to a typographical error, they lie about stock availability, EVGA's inability to ship additional product or that the card is end of life (imagine that, a 200 series card is EOL). That would indicate that this vendor is disingenuous and should be avoided.

...We have oversold our available inventory and unfortunately EVGA is out of stock on this piece. It is an end of life product for them...

...Due to an error on the manufacturer and distribution level the product sold at an unanticipated rate...

Now, the right way would have been to admit the typo and then levy a $25 credit or like toward an alternate 260 GTX product. It would of offered evidence of culpability and good customer service. Sure, not everyone would have accepted the offer, but, it would have been the right thing to do. But, sadly, instead they simply avoid the truth and send conflicting messages which is simply foolish in this day and age with Internet forums such as this.

In my line of work, the spring and summer represent 80% of my workload for the year so I do not ge to visit the forums as often as I would like. Still putzing with PCs, however :)
