External Graphics card?

Hello, I have not posted in a few months due to work and such. But I remember reading a laptop external graphics card would be hitting stores somewhat soon? Is that still going to happen, I hate that my laptop has on board graphics, Is there any thing out there that is an external graphics card?

It may happen, but I think they're still trying to fit more performance into a little package. I don't think the response from an expensive and complicated to make/produce/support external graphics card as an add-on for laptops was good enough for them to release yet. Someone may, but I bet you'll just see more expensive and powerful laptops instead of add-ons for lower end laptops. I hope I'm wrong because it would be kind of cool to have an 8800 or 2900 powered add-on card for laptops, time will tell! :toast:
